PUSH for life

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin.

The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day after day.

For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind:

“You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn’t moved.”

Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said, “Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough.”

That’s what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

“Lord,” he said, “I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?”

The Lord responded compassionately,

“My friend, when I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.”

“Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so?

Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have.”

“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.

Now I, my friend, will move the rock.”

“True, you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in my wisdom. That you have done!”

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when usually what God wants is just a simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong…

Just P.U.S.H.!

When the job gets you down…

Just P.U.S.H.!

When people don’t react the way you think they should…

Just P.U.S.H!

When your money is “gone” and the bills are due…

Just P.U.S.H!

When people just don’t understand you….

Just P.U.S.H.

PUSH that is…

P = Pray
U = Until
S = Something
H = Happens!

MEDITATION

It is said that the deeper the meditation, the deeper would be the healing. The mind and body are intimately connected, and the relationship of the mind to the body in meditation is very interesting. The mind creates a situation in which we see the body as peaceful and beautiful. By creating peaceful feelings in the body, the mind is absorbed in those feelings. So although the body is the object to be healed, it also becomes the means of healing the mind which is the ultimate goal of meditation.

The process of meditation is nothing but trying to renew that contact which ever was and shall always be within me.

In our modern lifestyles, most of our time and effort is directed towards material well-being, and we often find that our lives have become complicated. We find ourselves longing for inner change, growth and spontaneity. We are pulled in different directions by multiple goals, and are unable to prioritize these to find the balance that give us a sense of well-being and joy.

Meditation trains our mind to regulate itself, leads us beyond the outer activity into the inner silence of our hearts, where we find ourselves connected to our Divine essence. The regulated mind and connection with our inner divinity develops in us a balanced state which is unaffected by the ups and downs of everyday life. Our natural capacity for wisdom and right action begins to manifest, allowing us to prioritize the conflicting demands of life.

Sustained practice of meditation develops a constant balanced state, a deep sense of connection with our inner selves and a lasting direction and meaning to our lives.

More and more people across the globe are turning to meditation, realizing that in order to reach our full potential as complete, balanced human beings, our inner spiritual longings must be addressed along with the material demands of daily life.

As a bird needs two wings to fly, so a human being needs the two wings of existence, the spiritual and the material, to lead a natural and harmonious life.

Love U Dad!

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities
, When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,
He called it ... Dad

Life in a Love

Beloved!
While I am I, and you are you,
So long as the world contains us both,
Me the loving and you the loth,
While the one eludes, must the other pursue.
My life is a fault at last, I fear:
It seems too much like a fate, indeed!
Though I do my best I shall scarce succeed.
But what if I fail of my purpose here?
It is but to keep the nerves at strain,
To dry one's eyes and laugh at a fall,
And baffled, get up to begin again,—
So the chase takes up one's life, that's all.
While, look but once from your farthest bound,
At me so deep in the dust and dark,
No sooner the old hope drops to ground
Than a new one, straight to the selfsame mark,
I shape me—
Ever

A Meaning to my "LIFE"

Over a year has passed since I went away in search of a dream believing in my heart that it was the right thing to do. To find my own place in this world, to search for a secure future be free from all the restrictions of my life. I guess I was more than dreaming when I flew away believing I will find the greener pasture at the other side of the globe, believing life was way better than what I've been used. Off I went not knowing I was half dreaming and half awake and what I perceive to be the greener pasture prove to be a wake up call for me lets just say I did learn some hard life lessons and valuable experiences. For all that I've went through that journey no matter how miserable I might have felt, how hopeless life seems to be, the constant tears and the fight to really find what I'm looking for was an experienced I wouldn't have trade for anything at all. It was indeed a very humbling time for me and for once not be engrossed in my sometimes self-centered world. I learn to value friendship and how much it helps keep your spirit alive despite the dark times you're experiencing. I learn to smile at the simple things and be grateful for everything that I have because I didn't realize at that time how blessed I am because I'm too focused with my own longings and desires.

After all the constant battle of finding my own path in life I realize that what I've been chasing after is not really what I want. The gold that glitters can't really satisfy all your longings in life. It can probably fill an immediate need but to be fully contented one's emotional need can only be contend if one is full of love in his heart. Not only is life meaningless without love but as an individual you will continually be dissatisfied with what you have, constantly struggling to find total satisfaction. However, if one has a lot of love to give then for sure life is more precious because it will return to you hundredth times. I'm not just talking about romantic love but love in its totality, no restrictions, no conditions, no boundaries. But sometimes its so hard to find that kind of love because we are humans bound by societies dictates and norms and we can't even love unconditionally. We love conditionally and that's normal because we're just humans and if in case we can love unconditionally absolutely perfect. But then again no one is perfect except God and he is the only one who can love us unconditionally no if's no but's. So the next time you try to find a perfect love look up because that's the only place you can find it but since we're still here on earth just be satisfied with imperfect love because that's the best thing you could get. So what's the point of all this rambling well that's one of the lesson I've learn while chasing my dreams and made me realize what is the deepest longings in my heart and yes I now know what I really want in my life.

Life's journey!

Life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination, our purpose in life. The road will not always be smooth; in fact, throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges. Some of these challenges will test our courage, strengths, weaknesses, and faith. Along the way, we may stumble upon obstacles that will come between the paths that we are destined to take. In order to follow the right path, we must overcome these obstacles. Sometimes these obstacles are really blessings in disguise, only we don't realize that at the time. Along our journey we will be confronted with many situations, some will be filled with joy, and some will be filled with heartache. How we react to what we are faced with determines what kind of outcome the rest of our journey through life will be like. When things don't always go our way, we have two choices in dealing with the situations. We can focus on the fact that things didn't go how we had hoped they would and let life pass us by, or two, we can make the best out of the situation and know that these are only temporary setbacks and find the lessons that are to be learned. Time stops for no one, and if we allow ourselves to focus on the negative we might miss out on some really amazing things that life has to offer. We can't go back to the past, we can only take the lessons that we have learned and the experiences that we have gained from it and move on. It is because of the heartaches, as well as the hardships, that in the end help to make us a stronger person. The people that we meet on our journey, are people that we are destined to meet. Everybody comes into our lives for some reason or another and we don't always know their purpose until it is too late. They all play some kind of role. Some may stay for a lifetime; others may only stay for a short while. It is often the people who stay for only a short time that end up making a lasting impression not only in our lives, but in our hearts as well. Although we may not realize it at the time, they will make a difference and change our lives in a way we never could imagine. To think that one person can have such a profound affect on your life forever is truly a blessing. It is because of these encounters that we learn some of life's best lessons and sometimes we even learn a little bit about ourselves. People will come and go into our lives quickly, but sometimes we are lucky to meet that one special person that will stay in our hearts forever no matter what. Even though we may not always end up being with that person and they may not always stay in our life for as long as we like, the lessons that we have learned from them and the experiences that we have gained from meeting that person, will stay with us forever. It's these things that will give us strength to continue on with our journey. We know that we can always look back on those times of our past and know that because of that one individual, we are who we are and we can remember the wonderful moments that we have shared with that person. Memories are priceless treasures that we can cherish forever in our hearts. They also enables us to continue on with our journey for whatever life has in store for us. Sometimes all it takes is one special person to help us look inside ourselves and find a whole different person that we never knew existed. Our eyes are suddenly opened to a world we never knew existed- a world where time is so precious and moments never seem to last long enough. Throughout this adventure, people will give you advice and insights on how to live your life but when it all comes down to it, you must always do what you feel is right. Always follow your heart, and most importantly never have any regrets. Don't hold anything back. Say what you want to say, and do what you want to do, because sometimes we don't get a second chance to say or do what we should have the first time around. It is often said that what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. It all depends on how one defines the word "strong" It can have different meanings to different people. In this sense, "stronger" means looking back at the person you were and comparing it to the person you have become today. It also means looking deep into your soul and realizing that the person you are today couldn't exist if it weren't for the things that have happened in the past or for the people that you have met. Everything that happens in our life happens for a reason and sometimes that means we must face heartaches in order to experience joy.
